I am a theatrical producer and first contacted Nicola because I needed someone to make phone calls to theatres to update contact details on a database.
Once we met to discuss the work it was immediately clear that Nicola had the skills to do much more than this basic work.
After she had completed the updating of the database, which she did very efficiently, we discussed the possibility of her making bookings with theatres for my shows. This necessitated her learning more about the theatre industry which is an odd 'world' - however she picked it up immediately.
She was extremely effective in these bookings which are notoriously hard to make as one has to break through a strong 'gatekeeping' barrier to get to the bookers. I put this down to her excellent interpersonal skills - which is a dry way of saying that she has an amazing knack for getting people to like her, accept her calls and for establishing a working relationship with them.
Within a short space of time Nicola moved from simple bookings into contract negotiation - again requiring learning more very specific things about the theatre world.
At every stage Nicola was easy to work with and was keen to learn more and take on more responsibility.
Alongside all of this is the trust issue - my database of contact details is of critical value to my production business and has to be protected from distribution to others. I had no concerns over Nicola keeping it private. Additionally the contracts with the theatres are crucial to the financial success of my business and, although Nicola is paid on commission I am confident she works in the best interests of me, her client, and not herself.

We have worked with Nicola on several projects over the years, including marketing, PR and innovation for our nightclub, bar & restaurant NV.
